Focusing on You
01 — Food is medicine.
Dr. Gray uses prescription medications to treat patients when necessary, but she also believes in the power of nutrition. She works closely with local dietitians to consult with patients on changing diets to augment a treatment course. Dr. Gray believes the key to managing complex diseases, such as diabetes mellitus and hypertension, is understanding the role nutrition plays in health.
02 — “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”
Benjamin Franklin said it best in the year 1736. When it comes to a healthy life, preventing disease through appropriate screening measures, such as mammograms, colon cancer screening, and cervical cancer screenings, are fundamental.
03 — A body in motion stays in motion.
Dr. Gray is passionate about physical fitness and knows the importance of maintaining a physically active lifestyle as part of a treatment regimen. She partners with local physical therapists to address patients’ chronic and acute pain needs. She does not prescribe any chronic pain medication and relies on the expertise of pain management physicians, which allows her to focus on the rest of a patient’s healthcare needs.
04 — Mental Health.
A patient’s mental healthcare plays a role in their overall health and deserves to be addressed just as much as their recent lab results. Dr. Gray understands the importance of combining treatment modalities such as SSRI medications and cognitive behavioral therapy. She has relationships with many therapists and psychologists who work together with her as a multidisciplinary team.
