About Jessica Gray, MD, FAAFP

Dr. Jessica Gray is a board-certified Family Medicine physician in Lubbock, Texas. She completed her undergraduate work at Texas Tech University. She then went on to study at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine where she obtained her medical degree. She completed a residency at the Texas Tech Family Medicine residency program in Lubbock where she served as chief resident. Upon graduation, she joined the UMC Physicians group where she currently works as a Family Medicine physician with a focus on women’s and adolescent health. 

She is passionate about preventive care, health maintenance, and overall women’s health including mental healthcare. 

In addition to practicing in clinic, she is a professor for the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center School of Medicine and serves as adjunct faculty. She also volunteers on multiple nonprofit boards including the Lubbock Children's Heath Clinic and March of Dimes. She has been awarded the Degree of Fellow from the American Academy of Family Physicians.

She has been awarded Lubbock’s Chamber of Commerce Top 20 Under 40 Award as well as been named Texas Monthly Magazine’s Rising Star for two years in a row. In 2020 Dr. Gray was awarded the prestigious UMC Hospital System’s Pillar of Growth Award for her work during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Dr. Gray is a published author in medical education, and she frequently speaks at conferences and meetings on various health topics. She is the co-host of The Med Edit Podcast which is an accredited, award winning, and nationally syndicated medical education podcast interviewing topic medical experts across the country.

Most importantly, she is a devoted wife to her college sweetheart and mom to two baby boys. She has a golden retreiver, Beau, and loves to travel in her spare time.
